His main research interests include liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, and gastrointestinal bleeding. He specializes in the systemic diagnosis and treatment of liver cirrhosis, alcoholic liver disease, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. He is also an expert in endoscopic treatment of early gastrointestinal cancer.
Dr. Xing Wang received his doctoral degree (M.D) at Zhongshan Medical School of Sun Yat-sen University in 2012. He was a visiting scholar of Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2017. Currently, He is deputy chief physician of the Dept. Gastroenterology, The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and membership in Gastroenterology Branch of Guangdong Medical Association.
He has published tens of peer-reviewed research papers in authoritative journals such as Hepatology, Hepatol Commun, and Rheumatology, and has written cirrhosis-related editorials in Gastroenterol Rep and Liver Res. He has presided several clinical research projects, and participated in NSFC funding projects, nation-wide multi-center clinical studies, and several Guangdong provincial projects. He participated the translation of Chinese-version of Poral Hypertension VII-Proceedings of the 7th Baveno consensus workshop (2022) and co-authored chapters of “liver cirrhosis” and “hepatic encephalopathy” in the textbook Internal Medicine (2nd edition, 2022).
